So, how does The Cat Routine work?


In each of the 9 positions, maximum muscle force is generated by mental focus for 5 seconds. During these five seconds, a protein unfolds in the muscles that sets in action the process of muscle growth. This mimics the effects of doing weight lifting, but by using our own body without machines, the risk for injuries is avoided.


Each of the 9 positions takes 2 breaths:


IN: Close your eyes and breathe in fully while mentally gaining control over all the muscles in a certain body part by muscle activation.

OUT: As soon as you are connected to all these muscle fibres, open your eyes, focus, breathe out slowly but forcefully through a very small opening in the lips, while increasing your muscle tension to the absolute maximum for 5 seconds. Relax the muscles and breathe out the rest of the air while bringing your hands down.

IN: Deep breath in, hands to your heart.

OUT: exhale slowly and fully, empty your mind.
